I graduated from Newcastle University in 2013 and went on to complete my foundation training with the Northern Deanery at a busy general practice in Whitley Bay.
Prior to joining Thornaby Dental Centre I worked as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at North Manchester General Hospital. I had the opportunity to further develop my surgical skills and gained invaluable experience in oral surgery.
I am committed to post graduate learning and have completed examinations to become a Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons. I am a certified provider of the Inman Aligner and enjoy providing high quality dentistry in a stress-free environment.
I have particular interest in managing dental anxiety and currently work at the North Tees Hospital providing treatment for anxious patients of all ages under conscious sedation.

• Experience gained in full range of OMFS services including head and neck oncology, maxillofacial trauma, orthognathic surgery, salivary gland diseases, dental implants, TMJ surgery, oral surgery
• Hands-on experience in surgical removal of wisdom teeth, impacted canines and other exodontia under GA, IV sedation and LA
• First on-call shifts consisting of inpatient ward duties and A+E cover for Pennine Acute Trust (4 general hospitals) providing a range of emergency treatments e.g. suturing facial lacerations, incision and drainage of dental abscesses, dental trauma, assessing and admitting mandibular and other maxillofacial fractures, IV cannulation
• Diagnosing and treatment planning for referred patients on Consultant led outpatient clinics
• 2 Audit projects completed – 1 Regional audit (BAOMS TMJ patient information leaflets), 1 National Audit for BAOMS (mandible fractures time to theatre), both presented at regional audit meetings
• Multiple presentations at regional department meetings to all members of staff on interesting clinical cases, morbidity and mortality and clinic-pathological cases
