Dr Nik Pandya is a Specialist in Periodontics and an Implant Surgeon. He is lead clinician of a busy referral practice in Colchester. In addition a part time Postgraduate Clinical Lecturer/Tutor in Periodontology at Barts & The London, Queen Mary school of Dentistry, Senior Clinical Lecturer and Programme Lead, University of Essex and a Visiting Professor and programme lead for Master of Clinical Dentistry (Periodontology) at BPP University. Apart from being a member of the Periodontal Academy of the BSP is also a member of ADI, AAP, ICOI.
As an implant surgeon he works with other local specialists in prosthodontics for carrying out advanced restorative treatments. Together with an orthodontist and a prosthodontist colleague Nik completes the team delivering much needed care at the Hypodontia Clinic in Colchester.
Aside of his clinical duties, Nik has been an active member of the British Society of Periodontology where he chaired the Practitioners’ Section, is a Regional Representative for the BSP and was part of the local organising committee for EuroPerio8. He is an active member of the North Essex British Dental Association, which he also used to chair. He is the past president of the Essex Branch of the BDA. He is member of the LDC and represents speciality of Periodontology in the Essex LPN.
He has a passion for teaching and is involved in many local and national courses. His research interest lies in Guided Bone and Tissue Regeneration , Laser Therapy and Local Antimicrobial Delivery/Therapy.
Dr Nik Pandya qualified from University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 1983. Following hospital appointments, and general practice, completed a postgraduate programme in Periodontology at Queen Mary, University of London in 1992.
